Report Cards — 8th Grade, 4th Period (v2.5 — field-trip line removed, professional voice locked)

*Each
...
block is ONE physical line. Triple-click → copy → paste into FACTs gives the exact HTML with no spurious newlines. The four grade rows stay on separate lines because FACTs renders them that way.*

Block, Davis — 89.3 / B

Davis is a strong student who knows the material — his test scores show that consistently. Where Davis has room to grow is the routine of starting class on time; he is often the last to pull out his trapper and get going, and that has occasionally shown up on quizzes. Once he settles in, the work itself is solid.

We are working on Chapter 16 (America in the 1970s) with the chapter test next week, followed by Chapter 17 (New Challenges). The Chapter 15, Sections 2-4 (Vietnam Era) test grade is included in this report.

It has been a great year and a great class. Hard to believe we're already at the end. If Davis can tighten his start-of-class routine, he is set up well for finishing the year strong.

If you have any questions, please contact me at mbarnett@sfschools.net. Bruce, Jonathan — 74.9 / C

Jonathan's quarter grade reflects a single test that pulled the average below his homework standard. This is the first test grade of the quarter, and we have two more ahead — the Chapter 16 (America in the 1970s) test next week, and the Final Exam on May 6th — to build that average back up.

We are also reading Chapter 17 (New Challenges). The Chapter 15, Sections 2-4 (Vietnam Era) test grade is included in this report.

It has been a great year and a great class. If Jonathan uses the homework assignments as a study tool for the next unit and reviews his notepacket and vocabulary 15-20 minutes nightly, he has clear room for finishing the year strong.

If you have any questions, please contact me at mbarnett@sfschools.net. Curnel, Ethan — 80.4 / B

I appreciate that Ethan is there to help when other students aren't sure of an answer — he knows the material and brings real prior knowledge to class discussions. This quarter has been a slight dip on homework completion and his test compared to where he typically operates. The path back is consistent homework turn-in and 15-20 minutes of nightly notepacket and vocabulary review.

We are working on Chapter 16 (America in the 1970s) with the chapter test next week, followed by Chapter 17 (New Challenges). Why this version

Triple-click → copy on a code block grabs the visible text including its line breaks. In the previous version each
paragraph was on its own visual line, so the clipboard had real newlines that FACTs interpreted as extra breaks. Now each
...
is ONE physical line — clipboard gets a single string with

for breaks, no spurious newlines. Grade rows still on separate lines because they should render that way.

Hard refresh the page first (Ctrl+Shift+R Windows / Cmd+Shift+R Mac) to clear the old cached version. Then test Davis. If it pastes clean, the rest are identical structure.
